Summit Dems to host Silverthorne town hall today

Summit County’s Democratic elected officials will host a town hall today from 10-11 a.m. at the Silverthorne library.

State Rep. Millie Hamner (D-Dillon), state Sen. Jeanne Nicholson (D-Blackhawk) and County Commissioner Karn Stiegelmeier will meet with constituents to discuss the legislative session, special session and issues brought forward by the public.

Stiegelmeier and Hamner are both up for reelection this year.

Stiegelmeier is facing Republican Kevin Mastin for her seat on the Board of County Commissioners.

Hamner is going up against Breckenridge Republican Debra Irvine as well as Independent Kathleen Curry and American Constitution Party candidate Robert Petrowsky for the newly formed House District 61.

Those unable to attend are encouraged to contact Millie Hamner at rephamner@gmail.com or by phone at (970) 389-4542.
