Summit Foundation announces its spring grant-cycle deadline date

The Summit Foundation announced recently that it is now accepting applications for its spring funding cycle from tax-exempt nonprofit and government organizations.

The submission deadline is noon on March 20.

Application forms are available on the foundation’s website under “grants” at http://www.summit or by calling the foundation at (970) 453-5970.

Any organization planning to submit an application must use the current application form. First-time applicants are asked to contact executive director Lee Zimmerman at the foundation prior to submitting a grant request.

The Summit Foundation supports organizations that enhance the quality of life for residents and guests of Summit County.

Those organizations providing programs or services in the areas of art and culture, health and human service, education, environment and sports and recreation are eligible for funding consideration.

Grant applications also will be accepted for projects and programs in Kremmling, Alma, Fairplay and Leadville.

Since it began making grants in 1986, the foundation has awarded $10.5 million in grants and scholarships.
