Summit girls basketball team falls to Palmer Ridge in 5A state playoffs

The Summit High School girls basketball team fell to Palmer Ridge High School in Colorado Springs on Saturday, March 1.

Serving as a second-round matchup in the Class 5A state playoffs, No. 21 Summit attempted to upset the No. 12 Palmer Ridge Bears. Summit hung tough against the 17-6 Bears, but came up a little short.

Palmer Ridge defeated Summit 50-35 to advance in the playoffs. Palmer Ridge will now prepare to take on the winner of No. 5 Green Mountain and No. 28 Sierra.



Summit concludes its season with a record of 13-11 overall and 4-2 in league play. Summit will graduate one senior in Avery Eytel.
