The Colorado High School Activities Association has announced its Class 4A all-state teams. Three Summit High School track and field athletes made the list.
After placing third in the 3200-meter run at the Colorado state track and field meet on May 17, junior Ella Hagen was named second team all-state. Hagen also posted impressive results in the state 1600-meter final at the Arcadia Invitational back in April. Hagen broke her own school record in the 3200-meter run at Arcadia with a time of 10 minutes, 6.19 seconds before taking sixth in the girls 1600 at state.
Due to her impressive fourth-place finish in the 300-meter-hurdle final at the state meet, Summit sophomore Faith Fox was named to the 4A girls honorable mention all-state team. Fox has steadily improved over the last two years and now owns individual school records in the 100-meter and 300-meter hurdles as well as the long jump.

Junior Josh Shriver was the final Summit athlete to be featured on the all-state list. He was picked for the 4A boys honorable mention all-state team.
Shriver earned the honor for his gutsy performance in the 4A boys 1600-meter run at the state meet where he surged to the lead on the third lap. Shriver went on to make his first podium at the state meet, placing fifth overall. Earlier in the season, Shriver broke the 1600-meter and 3200-meter records at the 4A Western Slope League meet.
