Summit-Lake Dillon Optimist Club recognized outstanding students

The Summit-Lake Dillon Optimist Club recently recognized an outstanding fifth-grade boy and girl from each of the elementary schools in Summit County. Students were chosen for their outstanding

academics, extracurricular activities, school spirit, attitude, and exemplary citizenship.

Students recognized were: Guadalupe Alvarez and Eric Robinson from Dillon Valley Elementary; Brenda Reider and Jesus Moya from Silverthorne Elementary; Kate Tomlinson and Tuomas Wickman from Frisco Elementary; Laurel Schlegel and Jake Willemsen from Upper Blue Elementary; Lilith Treleven and Slav Uglyar from Summit Cove Elementary and Cameron Dahman and Max Turner from Breckenridge Elementary.

Also recognized were four eighth-grade students from the Summit Middle School, based on their outstanding character, community service, academics, leadership skills, personal goals and growth. These students were: Patrick Gruber, Max Ortiz, Kaitlin Raymond and Shima Al-Nuzele.
