Summit Middle School hosts World Fest 2006

The public is invited to Summit Middle School’s World Fest 2006 from 4-7 p.m. on Friday. The event is slated as a both a fundraiser and an opportunity to bring kids together to highlight international diversity.For an admission fee of $5 per person, or $20 per family, those attending can enjoy a buffet of international foods donated by nine local restaurants.Festivities kick off at 4 p.m., with a participatory drum circle. A live Mariachi band will perform from 5-7 p.m., and plenty of dancing room will be available.Middle school students will also present interactive booths, based on research they’ve done. All proceeds from the event will be donated to charities selected by the students, including UNICEF and Water for People.
