The SMS Speech and Debate Team – in only its third year – had an incredible tournament on Oct. 23 at Webber Middle School. Twenty-one students competed! Congratulations to: Cait McCluskie and Becca Rosko – 5th place in Duo Interpretation; Nic Wallace – 5th place in Dramatic Interpretation; Madi Neumaier – 4th place in Dramatic Interpretation; Kaitlin Wallace – 1st place in Dramatic Interpretation; Meaghan Claire Harville – 4th place in Humorous Interpretation; Brendan Greenberg – 6th place in Impromptu; Claire MacMurray – 5th place in Impromptu; Logan Weinman – 1st place in Impromptu, Kadin Stevenson and Riley Miller – 6th place in Public Forum Debate, Claire MacMurray and Natalie Cuadrado – 2nd place in Public Forum DebateCongratulations also to those who earned participant ribbons: Marlo Provorse, Gretchen Werckman, Kevin Curnutte, Zoe Hough, Anakayla Carchi Easterly, Heather Johnston, Jaime Schwed, Bailey Radek and Sabrina D’ Andrea.
