Summit resident and Biked Goods founder releases new edition of cookbook

The "Bakin' Biker '25 Cookbook" is now on sale on the Biked Goods website. Crafted by Summit County resident Tyler Zipperer, the cookbook focuses on whole, real food recipes that can fuel a an active lifestyle.

Summit County resident and Biked Goods founder Tyler Zipperer has returned to the kitchen to produce his second edition of the “Bakin’ Biker” cookbook. 

Similar to the first edition of the cookbook that was released in 2024, Zipperer has loaded the 2025 version with simple-to-prepare, energizing and delicious recipes.

“It is just a continuation of a collection of recipes that I have made personally,” Zipperer said. “…It follows a similar outline, but it starts off with some different nutrition tips and different things to set yourself up for success in the kitchen.”



The 2025 “Bakin’ Biker Cookbook” features over 100 food recipes for people to enjoy before, during or after their desired activity. From a variety of portable snacks and quick and small meals to full-size, family-style dishes, the cookbook provides something for everyone to enjoy.

Zipperer especially loves the recipes that feature muesli — a hearty grain similar to oatmeal — as well as his packable sweet potato pancake sandwiches.



“I am big on muesli for a quick meal,” Zipperer said. “That is kind of like overnight oats, but with some more added ingredients in there. It provides a good solid base. … A few of my other favorites are the packable sweet potato pancake sandwiches which are basically two sweet potato pancakes with your choice of filling.”

Beyond featuring tasty recipes, the cookbook also provides alternatives to processed foods. While convenient snacks, boxed meals and sugary drinks have a time and place in any active lifestyle, “Bakin’ Biker” provides recipes made from whole and real ingredients.

“The focus is on whole, real foods,” Zipperer said. “Lots of fruits, veggies, grains, beans, legumes. That is just all research backed by organizations and people who are putting information behind that. That is really how I go about developing my recipes. It is not a diet, it is a lifestyle.”

For those primarily focused on bike training, Zipperer even offers an outline for meals to fuel workout and recovery days.

True to the Biked Goods mission, 10% of all cookbook sales will go to local organizations that help fuel the next generation.

“That includes Team Summit, Smart Bellies, We Ride 4, The Cycle Effect,” Zipperer said. “That is one things I aim to do with this cookbook.”
