Summit School District announces early dismissal for USA Pro Challenge

The Summit School District will dismiss all students early Tuesday, Aug. 20 due to the U.S. Pro Challenge cycling race in Breckenridge, according to a district news release.

The school day will end three hours earlier than each school’s normal dismissal hours. The dismissal times are:

• 11:55 a.m. for Summit High School

• 12:10 p.m. for Summit Middle School

• 12:20 p.m. for Snowy Peaks High School

• 12:55 p.m. for all elementary schools

All afternoon bus routes and bus stops will operate three hours earlier than the normally scheduled bus routes, according to the release. Summit Middle School afternoon activity busses will not run.

The Summit School District will share updated information on its website, http://www.summit.k12.co.us, and with parents and staff through Summit County Alert. Parents and staff are encouraged to sign up for SCAlert at http://www.scalert.org to receive the most up-to-date news and information about road closures.
