Summit School District cancels after-school activities, events due to weather

Due to hazardous weather conditions, all school athletics, activities and school events for November 13 are canceled:

• The Summit Middle School activity buses and SVE tutoring buses are canceled.
• The Summit Middle School basketball trip to Fairplay is canceled.
• CATCH will run as normal with the encouragement to parents to come get students ASAP.
• Non-school activities will run at the discretion of their leader.
• Strategic planning meeting at SMS canceled.
• Parent nights/meetings at Frisco Elementary, Upper Blue Elementary and Silverthorne Elementary are canceled.
• Education Foundation of the Summit meeting is canceled.
• District technology + cultural proficiency meetings are canceled.

This weather pattern is currently due to intensify overnight. The district will be following the normal protocol tomorrow morning to evaluate the weather and road conditions for the start of school.
