Summit Schools to put on ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, High School Edition’

The Summit High School Performing Arts Department will be putting on the musical “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, High School Edition” based on an original story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany. The show will be directed by Kelly and Matt Renoux and performed by a cast and crew of over 90 local students from third grade through 12th.

The show premiers Friday, Nov. 7, with a 7 p.m. show at Summit High School. There will be two more shows that weekend, one on Saturday, Nov. 8, at 7 p.m. and another on Sunday, Nov. 9, at 2 p.m. There will be a show Friday, Nov. 14, at 7 p.m., one Saturday, Nov. 15, at 7 p.m. and one Sunday, Nov. 16, at 2 p.m.

Tickets are $10 for students and $20 for adults, with VIP tickets that include premium seating and snacks cost $30. Tickets purchased at the door will be $5 more. All tickets are available online at SHSTheatreArtsDept.ludus.com.
