The Summit Showdown, a no-limit Texas Hold ‘Em tournament sponsored by the Summit County Rotary Club, will be held on Saturday at the Silverthorne Pavilion.

The $60 admission includes a light buffet dinner from 5-9 p.m., a drink of your choice and cash bar for rest of evening with table service, plus $500 in poker chips. Doors open at 3 p.m. Seats will be assigned randomly at check-in.

A Texas Hold’em refresher will be held at 3:30 p.m. with gambling beginning at 4 p.m. There will be seating for 220 players, 11 players at a table.

At approximately 10 p.m., when the final 10 players are announced, there will be a Calcutta auction in which spectators may bid on the player they think will take it all. All auction proceeds will be split three ways between the Summit County Rotary, successful bidder on winner, and the Summit Showdown Champion.

The last man or woman standing in the tournament will receive a seat at the Denver final with other area tournament winners, which take place in March. The winner of the Denver final goes on with a paid entry to The World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.
