Summit Stage presents policy changes to commissioner board

SUMMIT COUNTY – The Summit Stage Advisory Board agreed on changes to a policy to provide no charge special event services to board represented entities in the county. The Summit Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) felt that the previous policy presented by the Summit Stage at their Nov. 3 work session needed some minor language and format changes.John Jones, Summit Stage director, incorporated the suggested alterations and presented the new policy to the BOCC for approval. The Stage removed statements saying that only one-time approval would be granted and that the request must be made 60 days in advance to allow for review and planning. The new wording received the nod of approval from commissioners. The policy came about after the Stage provided services for the town of Dillon for an event in August.
