Special to the Daily

Good morning and welcome to Summit Up, the world’s only daily column super thankful for the little bit of snow we’ve gotten here in the High County. It was surprisingly enough snow to break our ice scraper when we cleaned off our car Sunday morning. But, to be truthful, we’ve had that scraper since high school so – it had a long life and we’re glad it survived the decade.

We didn’t make it out to any of the ski resorts this weekend, but we bet lots of other people did. E-mail us at and tell us about all the fun runs you took.

Somewhere on this page, Summit Up readers will see a photo of the Comfort Dental Summit County dental staff after completing its Highway Adoption Clean-Up Day. According to an e-mail, it was a lot of fun and they would like to challenge others to get involved and give back to the community.

Comfort Dental Summit County also wants to remind people about its FREE Care Day that will take place Dec. 24. It is on first-come, first-serve basis and it will run from 7:30 a.m. to noon.

Man, this is quite an important service for folks without dental insurance. Keep up the good work, Comfort Dental!

Linda Axelrod sent in an Angel Alert!! Angel Alert!!: “OOOOOPPPPSSSS!!!!!! Sorry. Confused ‘Gondola Lot’ with River Run Lot. Thank you Keystone for NOT charging to park in the River Run Lot. Real skiers can still afford to ski Keystone. You rock.”

That WAS kind, Keystone!

Another Angel Alert!! Angel Alert!! arrived at the Corporate Suites: “Thank you all so much for my surprise birthday party. It was so special to see all my little children. I love you all, Sandy.”
