Summit Up
Special to the Daily

Good morning and welcome to Summit Up, the world’s only daily column that’s hearing that those O.J. sightings in Breckenridge over the holidays were true.(Enter mandatory O.J. jokes here: If you can’t think of one, here’s an idea to get you started: Will glove sales go up?)

A deeply entrenched source in Breck wrote us this little ditty about the future of O.J. in Summit County: “The O.J. Simpson sightings in Breckenridge were true. O.J. Simpson and some developer friends took a break from their Vail vacation and toured the Peak Seven subdivision just northwest of Breckenridge on Wed., Dec. 28, before and after having lunch at the Breckenridge Brewery. During this tour they were guided by a Frisco Coldwell Banker Realtor and met with several builders. They did spend about a 1/2 an hour at a $7 million ski in/ski out listing on Peak 8. But their primary interest was the Peak 7 Subdivision. Conversation overheard at the Brewery cited that the continued northward movement of Vail Resorts towards the subdivision and the fact that they felt homes in that area seem to be undervalued, along with Breckenridge’s growing popularity, contributed to one property being put under contract. O.J. told patrons at the Brewery, they would be seeing a lot more of him. He took time to sign some autographs and take some pictures … Looks like their Peak 7 secret is out! Make sure to mention the Brewery!”OK, there it is. Perhaps the Brewery should name a beer after him …***

Ok. Here’s a a final correction – the Battle of the Bulge occurred in World War II, not World War I or any other war. We’re hanging our heads in shame.
