Good morning and welcome to Summit Up, the world’s only daily column satisfied with snow for lunch. We were more than pleased Wednesday when, come the noontime hour, a few flurries started flitting around our noses. Better yet, a wall of ominous clouds approached from the west, and we felt sure winter was on its way back.

We were wondering about winter the past few weeks as we wore goulashes to the coffee shop and bought yet another tube of Coppertone from Wal-Mart.Since we’re feeling pretty good with all that brown snow and dog poo covered in a fresh dusting, we’ll move right along to a hard-to-handle subject …

Avery sent us a Scum Alert!! Scum Alert!! He writes: “On Wednesday afternoon (Feb. 15) some sick and twisted individual stole my high-end, custom-built and (more than likely one-of-a-kind in this county) Alienware computer from a friend’s house in French Creek. Unfortunately this appears to be a concentrated act of evil directed at me, as the computer was the ONLY thing missing in the house. “This computer means the world to me and then some, and is absolutely vital for me to pursue my career in software development. The computer itself is sleek black, larger than your average computer, has cooling vents on the sides and has a tiny alien head on the front of the case. If anybody out there has any information regarding the location of my computer, please contact either Avery or Karen Terrell at (970) 547-4994 or (970) 470-2248.”

***It’s Thursday, and we’re out burping the white stuff …
