Good morning and welcome to Summit Up, the worlds only daily column noticing the state of our economy at the vending machine.
When we started working here at the Corporate Suites about a year and a half ago we could buy a refreshing beverage from the vending machine for a mere 50 cents. Then one day when we were very thirsty and armed with two quarters we were outraged when we noticed the price of our tasty beverages had been raised to 75 cents, the horror! We eventually got used to he 25 cent increase and took it with a grain of salt.
However, just a few days ago we placed three quarters into the machine, and nothing. We pushed the button repeatedly and just when we figured that the machine was broken, there it was, a $1.00 sticker right over the 75 cents we were used to.
Moving on, we are proud to report on a couple SMARTY PANTS ALERTS!!! SMARTY PANTS ALERTS!!! The first goes out to Tamara Nowakiwsky (pictured on this page) who was Summit High Schools 2002 Salutatorian and 2005 graduate of Arizona State University. It seems as though Tamara has graduated from the University of Colorado Law School on May 10th and accepted a position as a criminal defense attorney. Congrats Tamara!
Also, two Breckenridge locals attending the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia have been named to the deans list. Congratulations to James Anderson, an animation major and photography major, Margaret Evans.
We out, its Sunday and not snowing (hopefully) so we’re outside soaking up the sun.
