Summit Up 2-16-2013: Where good deeds get noticed

Special to the Daily

Good morning and welcome to Summit Up, the world’s only daily column that is chock-full of positive things to say today.

So without further adieu, lets dive in to this holiday weekend of bliss. Kay Dukesherer of Delray Beach, Fla., sent in this Angel Alert!! Angel Alert!! Dukesherer had this to say:

“Thanks to the two snowboarders who found me upside down in the snow in Breckenridge Thursday, and who stayed until my friends came. I’m sorry I have no memory of you being there. Thanks, also to Breckenridge Ski Patrol, the clinic, Flight For Life staff and pilot and the head trauma unit at St. Anthony’s in Lakewood. Part of our ticket/pass price goes toward staffing the ski area so these transitions go smoothly. Something we rarely think about until we need the services. I had a helmet on and am doing well. Everyone wear your helmets!”

Glad to hear she is doing well, and a hardy helping of good karma to the considerate snowboarders and first responders.

We hear it’s supposed to be a beautiful day out there today. The sun is supposed to be shining and we just had a decent snow, so get out there and do what you do.
