Summit Up 3-17-12: Smelly dog

Special to the Daily

Good morning and welcome to Summit Up, the world’s only daily column that is wondering why puppies smell so bad.

We don’t have anything against dogs, big or small, but the one that was lounging about in our office on Saturday has to be one of the foulest smelling creatures on the face of the earth. The mutt itself doesn’t smell too bad, but he’s got gas that could gag a maggot. The dog’s owner insists that it’s all the food’s fault, but we’re pretty sure some (if not all) of the blame should rest on the owner’s shoulders as the one who buys the dog’s food. The dog is not the one who heads down to the store. He just eats what he’s given.
