Summit Up 4-17-10: Short and sweet

Summit Up
Summit Daily/Mark Fox

Good morning and welcome to Summit Up, the world’s only daily column that’s having a hard time picking which way to go today: Breckenridge or Copper? Up in Breck, there’s a free show with The Bravery at the Riverwalk starting at 4 – which sounds very cool. At Copper, there’s a bunch of bands playing – also free – staring at 1 and culminating with reggae legends Steel Pulse at 5:30.

Hmmm … well, we’ll figure something out. We recommend you put on your party hat and go to one or the other and help wrap up the season with some jam.

So yep, it’s that time of year when, in addition to 47 metric tons of dog poop, all kinds of other stuff is emerging from the melting snow. Above, our roving photographer noticed a bumper stuck in a guard rail on I-70 in Frisco. How does one forget something like that? Can it be recycled or turned into jewelry? So many questions and so few answers. But luckily, town clean-up days are coming soon!

Happy Saturday. We out.
