Summit Up 6-18-12: Where we’re touting our napkin-T idea

Good morning and welcome to Summit Up, the world’s only daily column that opted to reduce waste in our own way this weekend – by buying a $1 white polo and using it as a napkin throughout Frisco’s BBQ weekend.

We went all-American out there, wiping not just barbecue sauce, but butter, grease, steak rub, all of the above and what-have-you all over our napkin-shirts.

Not only did we get a few stares, it was a conversation starter, with most folks wanting to know exactly where we’d eaten – presumably because it just looked so delicious, but possibly because they wanted to avoid wherever it was that made us that dirty.

We would highly recommend our friends at High Country Conservation Center snatch that idea right up and use the napkin-T as a fundraiser during the BBQ.

What a great souvenir! You can even take the smell of the Town of Frisco’s Colorado BBQ Challenge with you back home.

Even if it makes you sick to get a whiff of all that meat you stuffed in your face all weekend.

Speaking of which, we’re off to exercise. Happy Monday!
