Summit Up 6-26-12: In the market for prescription 3-d glasses
Good morning and welcome to Summit Up, the world’s only daily column that’s needing some prescription 3-D glasses, quick!
Surely all those with four eyes out there know what a hassle it is to see a 3-D movie and have to wear the magic glasses atop your regular ones. It stinks! And to be honest, we’re not at all sure we like 3-D movies in the first place: They cost more, they appear to be kinda dark and they give us a headache half the time.
Where’s the pleasure in that? We would’ve gone to the 2-D version of the new Pixar film Brave, but the only time they’re showing it is at the (for us) insanely late hour of 9 p.m. We don’t know about you, but we’re early birds, and by 10 a.m. we’re drooling and snoring – and we’re pretty sure that’d get us in trouble with other movie-goers.
Anyway, movie theater people, bring back some normal times for the 2-D movies – it’s not because we’re cheap (although we are), but we just prefer the old-school look.
Low on space today, more tomorrow.
We out.
