Summit Up 6-8-12: Short stuff

Summit Up
The Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center (BOEC) would like to extend a huge thank you to Mi Casa Mexican Restaurant & Cantina for hosting the 29th Annual Cinco de Mayo to benefit the BOEC's Willie Whalen Memorial Fund and raising over $19,000 to support the BOEC! An extra special thanks to Dick Carleton, Tracey Roach, and Julie Ludwig who have always supported this fundraiser that has to date raised over $340,000 for the BOEC! Thanks to the servers, volunteers and cooks from Mi Casa who made the night a great dining experience. The BOEC raised extra funds from a unique silent auction of over 100 items. Thanks to all the generous auction donors and donors to our raffle drawings. Lastly, thanks to all of our supporters who came out hungry to support a great cause and to those who bid on the silent auction items.

Good morning and welcome to Summit Up, the world’s only daily column that uh … did the thing with the whatsit and we’re still reeling and freaking out and …(sound of tapping)Hello? Is this thing on?(confused scufflings)Well, whatever we were talking about there is gone, and we’ve got precious little room left to talk about much of anything at all – unless of course we stick to some very brief, very succinct declarations or questions that might contain some kernel of meaning, such as …Got milk? The baboon is a mammal. The moon is essentially a big rock. It’s not easy for bearded men to gracefully eat buffalo wings.Rats love chocolate milk. What’s it all about, really? We’ll do better tomorrow. We out.
