Summit Up

Special to the Daily We receive all kind of letters here at the Corporate Suites, including letters from our lovely community of pets. Lily writes: "Hello. My name is Lily and my dream is to be a rescue dog as famous as "Hasty" in Dillon." Good luck, Lily. We'll remember you when we're out highmarking on our sleds.

Good morning and welcome to Summit Up, the world’s only daily column sitting on the washing machine with an unbalanced load. It’s kind of like riding a baby bull, but therapeutic. You see, we can’t afford a massage therapist every time we need one – right now being one of those times, since we absolutely blistered our legs out on the mountain. Over the years, we’ve found the cheap solution is to throw a lot of lopsided, heavy stuff in the washer, have a seat and let Maytag do the massage work.

Ahhhhhh. Mmmmmmmm. Ahhhhh.***Here’s a Hat’s Off! to the crew at the Blue Spruce. They done well. So says Kathy Peel, of Bradenton, Fla. She says:

“Recently our family visited your area as we do several times a year for the winter. We met our dear friends, Dave and Brenda for dinner at the Blue Spruce Inn. Our service at the Inn was out of this world … The meal was some of the most savory, delicious food I have tasted in quite a long time. The atmosphere was fantastic. This quaint little place had so much personality. We dined during the recent snow fall, and with the fireplace burning in the background of the loft setting, who could ask for anything more? How’s that for customer satisfaction?

***It’s Sunday, so imagine you’re the potato chip grease at the bottom of the brown paper deli bag. We are. If you aren’t, tell us what you’re imagining at, or explain to the voicemail at (970) 668-3998, ext. 237, that your imaginitizing gasket is busted and the shop says it’ll take two weeks to order the parts. We’re out trying to get some holiday shopping done …
