Summit Up

Good morning and welcome to Summit Up, the world’s only daily column wishing music accompanied life like it does in the movies.

Can you imagine how much easier our lives would be if the music from “Jaws” started playing when something bad was about to happen?

Your Significant Other invites you over to talk.

“Jaws” music: Duh-nuh

SO: You know, I am just so busy with work right now.

“Jaws” music: Duh-nuh, duh-nuh

SO: You deserve someone who can devote more time to a relationship.

“Jaws” music: Duhnuhduhnuhduhnuh

SO: It’s not you; it’s me.

“Jaws” music: DuhnuhduhnuhduhnuhDUHNUHDUHNUHDUHNUH!

SO: I think we should see other people.

There would be no more being blindsided in life. Whether the situation was good or bad, at least you have a symphonic warning.

Plus, wouldn’t it be great to have that life soundtrack to rely on when you get a terrible song stuck in your head.

You singing in your head: “All right stop, collaborate and listen. Ice is back with my brand new invention. Something grabs a hold of me tightly. Flow like a harpoon daily and nightly. Will it ever stop? Yo, I don’t know. Turn off the lights and I’ll glow …” ARGH! Darn that Vanilla Ice and his hot lyrics! I can’t get this song to go away!

Life soundtrack: Here’s a little Def Leppard to knock that Vanilla Ice right out ” “Pour some sugar on me! I’m hot, sticky sweet, from my head to my feet yeah!”

You: Thanks, life soundtrack.

Maybe someday.

It’s Saturday, and that means the sun’s out, the birds are singin’ and someone out there is feeding a fox, which brings us to today’s final point. Don’t feed the foxes. Get a pet turtle or something if you really feel the need to provide nourishment to a living creature.
