On Thursday, join us for the forth annual Mi Casa Tequila Dinner to benefit Advocates for Victims of Assault. Tickets: $65. Mark your calendars for a celebration of local and seasonal food at Vinny’s Euro American Restaurant in Frisco on Thursday. The dinner is a special, one-night-only feature of healthy recipes made with fresh and seasonal ingredients donated by local farmers and community gardens. It’s a unique opportunity to celebrate fall, show appreciation for all things local and support grassroots conservation efforts in Summit County. Breckenridge is jumping on board the growing craft distillery trend with its third annual Still on the Hill Craft Spirits Festival Friday through Sunday. Activities over the weekend-long craft distillers festival include a poker run at restaurants and bars throughout town, historic saloon tours, a distillery open house and the grand tasting featuring distillers from around the country along with a hangover brunch. The highlight of the event is the grand tasting where distillers introduce their products, show off their craft cocktails and interact with guests. The tasting is on Saturday from 4-7 p.m. at the Riverwalk Center in Breck. Tickets are $20 and include a tasting glass, craft spirits tasting, artisan snacks and background bluegrass music by the Honey Gitters. Visit for event details and to buy tickets.

The Breckenridge Resort Chamber is accepting submissions for the 2013 Ullr Fest poster art contest. Submissions are due by 5 p.m. on Nov. 5, and should tie in to the 50th “Golden” anniversary theme. Winning artwork will appear on 2013 Ullr Fest poster, merchandise, advertising and other event collateral; the winning artist will receive a prize package of event merchandise.

Concept sketches must be no larger than 14″ x 17″ and can be submitted via email (, in person at the BRC offices (111 Ski Hill Rd. in Breck) or via U.S. mail to the Breckenridge Resort Chamber, ATTN: Special Events, P.O. Breckenridge Ski Patrol is looking for 200 volunteers to participate in its annual gondola evacuation training on Saturday. The training exercise will begin at the base of the BreckConnect gondola at 9 a.m. and conclude around noon. The ski patrol will provide coffee and donuts in the morning with an open discussion opportunity and lunch at the One Ski Hill Grill following the training. This exercise is a great way to educate the public on the ski patrol’s safety-response techniques in the event a gondola evacuation is needed.
