Support for military family fund requested

The Military Family Relief Fund was established last year through bipartisan legislation carried by State Rep. Morgan Carroll, D-Aurora, and State Senator Ed Jones, R-Colorado Springs. The fund helps families who are experiencing financial hardship as a result of active military deployment. “The difficulties due to deployment can be devastating. This is one of the most concrete actions we can take to put our money where our mouth is and support our troops and their families,” Carroll said. Those who want to contribute can check off the donation on 2005 income tax forms, or send a check to: Military Family Relief Fund, Department of Military & Veterans Affairs, 6848 South Revere Pkwy., State Accounting Office, Suite 2-252, Centennial, CO 80112.Donations can be made by individuals or corporations in any amount. They are tax deductible. Direct questions to Carol Mentone at (720) 250-1530 or contact Carroll at (303) 726-1742.
