Surprise party for Sharon Parrish on Saturday

Daily News staff report

Surprise 70th birthday party/retirement party/bon voyage party – for Sharon Parrish will be Saturday at the Elks Lodge in Silverthorne from 1-4 p.m. Parrish is leaving for Michigan to help a family member. She has been in the community for almost 30 years. She has worked a lot of those years as a checker at City Market in Breckenridge, Silverthorne and Dillon. Parrish was the first safehouse mom for the Advocates for Victims of Assault and she helped start, and managed The Barn Thrift store for the community which is now Summit Thrift and Treasure. Her family would like to invite everyone for cake and ice cream and to share their memories in written form so the family can make a book for Parrish to take with her on her continuing journey of helping people in need.
