Susan O’Brien: Thank you to Dillon Marina

Susan O'Brien,
LAPS secretary

Boating on Lake Dillon is a great way to kick off the summer, and The League for Animals and People of the Summit (L.A.P.S.) would like to thank the Dillon Marina for hosting Let’s Go Boating on June 9-10. Thanks to Shannon Jacoby and staff for organizing the activities and to marina manager Bob Evans for his continued support and generosity. We are grateful to expert sailboat boat captains, Andrea Stein, Dave Cope, Todd Morgan, John “Trippe” Duke and Dan Dacey, along with pontoon pilots TJ O’Shea and Steve Fisher for showing the participants such a good time. Remember them for sailing lessons and tours this summer.

We also thank the town of Dillon, Frisco Subway and City Market for their help with this event. L.A.P.S. appreciates the community members and guests who came out and supported us this fundraiser. (L.A.P.S. assists qualifying Summit County pet owners needing financial aid to help pay spay/neuter and veterinary bills – http://www.summitlaps.com). Thanks to L.A.P.S. volunteers Cathy Cloutier, Susan Alderman, Katie McDermott, Jim and Maggie Cox, Mac Borsina and Susan O’Brien.
