SWAT team to train Friday

FRISCO – Don’t be alarmed if you hear loud bangs and breaking glass in Frisco on Friday evening. The Summit County SWAT team will conduct a training exercise at 216 Fourth Ave. near Teller Street from 6:30-11:30 p.m.Anyone in the area can expect to see SWAT personnel in uniform using less-than-lethal devices, including stun grenades and beanbag rounds, which will create flashes of light and loud percussion sounds.”You will possibly hear loud voices and glass being broken,” said Frisco officer James Donahue. “All of this training is standard procedure and is being conducted under the safest possible conditions.”The Summit County SWAT command staff and the Frisco Police Department will supervise the training exercise.
