Tale Spinners meeting set for Monday

DAILY NEWS STAFF REPORT

The speaker for the Monday meeting of Tale Spinners will be Col. Charlie Simpson, USAF (ret.). Simpson will present slides and a short video about “How We Test Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles” and a short update on the new USAF nuclear command.

During his long and distinguished USAF career Simpson had many command positions of increasing responsibility including base commander at several USAF bases in the United States and abroad (Spain, Sicily and Turkey). After his retirement, Simpson and his wife, Carol, moved to Breckenridge where he has pursued interests in golf and skiing. For some time, he has been the executive director of the Association of Air Force Missileers.

The meeting starts at 11:30 a.m. at the Summit County Community and Senior Center (bring your own brown bag lunch). Guests are always welcome at Tale Spinners meetings. For more info, call Allan Schutt at (970) 668-8322.
