Taryn Power, appointed Summit County clerk, will run for election in 2024
Taryn Power, a Summit County resident who in late 2022 was appointed clerk and recorder, will run for election to her seat in November.
Power was appointed clerk and recorder after Stacy Nell, who won the race for clerk in the 2022 election, gave up her seat for a full-time position with the town of Frisco.
Before her appointment as clerk, Power served as director of development for The Summit Foundation, a Breckenridge-based nonprofit. Before that, she served as deputy town clerk for the town of Breckenridge from 2013-19.
Power is a member of the Democratic Party.
