Text REDCROSS, help a Boulder fire victim

DENVER – Ten dollar donations can be made to the American Red Cross via cell phone by texting REDCROSS to 90999. The funds will go to support disaster relief efforts by the American Red Cross like those allocated to the Fourmile Canyon fire in Boulder.

“We are touched by the huge outpouring of assistance from our community for those affected by the Fourmile Canyon fire in Boulder,” said Jonathan Comyn, interim CEO of the American Red Cross Mile High Chapter.

The American Red Cross provides disaster relief by making available basic needs like food, shelter, water, hygiene kits and assistance with refilling medications lost in the disaster. Emergency financial assistance is also provided along with casework to help victims get back on their way towards long-term recovery.

Donations can also be made at http://www.ColoradoRedCross.org or by calling 303-722-7474. Checks may be mailed to the Red Cross’s Mile High Chapter at 444 Sherman St., Denver, CO 80203.
