Thanks for a successful tea

The House with the Red Door raised more than $18,000 at this year’s High Country High Tea, a $5,000 increase from last year.The proceeds of the tea will be used to support the Red Door’s services.A sellout of 176 people feasted at the event, which featured entertainment by The Backstage Theatre and awards.Lee and Donna Synott received the Volunteer of the Year award. Scott Kennedy was the winner of two coach airline tickets and a week’s stay in a condo in Kauai, Hawaii.The House with the Red Door would like to thank the hosts and hostesses who helped make the event a success: Maggie Ducayet, Barbara Calvin, Lindsey Breece, Tina Oberheide, Elizabeth Gaines, Mary Caamano, Bob Gordman, Sharon Siler, Jean Paffrath, Charlotte Griffin, Leah Baxter, Jane Daniels, Lee Synnott, Mitzie Hawkins, Hollie VanderHoeven, Kathy Taylor, Marge Gavenda, Charlotte Weiler, Sammy Schellinger, Jeanie Bundy, Jane Venable, Gala Eppstein and Sheri Goff.
