Thanks for telling the ‘whole’ Ballengee story

Tom BrennomSilverthorne

I just read the article on Danelle Ballengee and found it to be a wonderfully written piece! I had read of her problem and happened to catch her on TV yesterday but really didn’t understand all the details until I read “the rest of the story” from Devon O’Neil’s article. It was obviously a tragedy in the making that had a miracle ending and he captured the reader thru his written style in the same way Joe Simpson did in “Touching the Void.” One couldn’t just read a little of it or skip over paragraphs! I just visited Moab mountain biking this fall for the first time and it just added to the visual picture of this situation.Thank you for capturing such a significant event! We are part-time Silverthorne residents and keep in touch thru the web and the Summit Daily News.
