Thanks for the support
The recent recovery of the Napa truck from Dillon Reservoir was a long day’s work for several search/dive rescue teams, the fire department and law enforcement. The Tactical Assist Group (TAG) of Lake Dillon Fire Authority would like to thank everyone that helped keep the folks fed and hydrated throughout the day. Starting in the morning, Keystone Conference Center provided coffee. The Red Cross was tapped for lunch and they brought sandwiches from Quizno’s as well as snacks and beverages from their own supplies. Late in the afternoon, Jersey Boys made ten pizzas during their busy happy hour time and the deli at City Market in Dillon cooked up friend chicken and potatoes. We appreciate the support from the community. We also wish to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to everyone who helped in making the Bonfils Blood Drive at Station 11 on April 5 a huge success.Bonfils has informed us that this was one of best drives they have conducted outside of the metro area, having collected 69 units of blood from 70 donors during the course of the 5-hour schedule. Even with many appointments that were no-shows or had to be cancelled for good reason, the walk-in traffic easily made up the difference.Thank you again to the many volunteers and employees of Lake Dillon Fire-Rescue, Bonfils and community members who helped make this possible.
