Thanks for the tireless investigation
The Summit County Sheriffs Office and the Frisco Police Department would like to take a moment and thank everyone for their tireless efforts during the investigation of the Patricia McCormick case. During the course of this investigation, Summit County Search and Rescue, Summit County Water Rescue, along with various investigators and other personnel from numerous agencies, expended more than 3,000 hours trying to find Patricia. This does not include the hundreds of hours dedicated to this investigation by the Frisco Police Department. We would also like to take a moment to thank the employers of our rescue volunteers for giving them countless hours off of work to assist in the search. Although we do not have the space here to thank everyone by name, you know who you are.A special thanks goes to Detective Julie Polly of the Frisco Police Department, for following up every single lead and tip, attending countless meetings, and briefing all of us throughout the course of the investigation. You are one of the most tenacious investigators we have ever met.Another special thanks goes to John Agnew of Search and Rescue, and Sgt. Cale Osborn of the Summit County Sheriff’s Office. You both gave up your own personal time to search for Patricia. You never stopped trying, and you both went above and beyond the call of duty.Lastly, all of us at the Sheriffs Office’s and the Frisco Police Department would like to extend our sincere condolences to the McCormick family. Although we never met Patricia, we learned during the course of this investigation that she was truly a wonderful person. We sincerely hope that you find strength in your time of grief, and peace in knowing what happened.
