Thanks for World Fest help

On behalf of the International Baccalaureate students of Summit Middle School, I want to extend a tremendous and grateful thank-you to all of the wonderful supporters of our World Fest charity fundraiser. Incredible food was donated by Bamboo Garden, the Boat Yard Pizzeria and Grill, the Cala Inn, Carlos Miguel’s Mexican Bar and Grill, Denzaemon Noodle and Bowl Cafe, Food Hedz World Cafe, Hearthstone Catering, Keystone Conference Center and Bakery Shop and Taddeo’s Italian Restaurant. Three world coffees were provided by Starbucks. Our beautiful color posters were provided by Copy Copy. City Market, Safeway, Wal-Mart and Target gave gift cards to cover many of our necessary supplies. Finally, Peak Rhythms brought their incredible drum circle program as well. In addition to all of those businesses who supported World Fest, a grateful thank-you must go out to the numerous adults who lovingly volunteered to get donations, distribute posters and flyers, pick up and deliver supplies, set everything up, serve the food to guests, supervise kids and clean up when it was all over. They were truly indispensible, and World Fest was successful because of them! I feel compelled to mention that these donors were not only supportive, but truly gracious in the way they opened their hearts to participate in this event. Working with them has made me feel quite proud to be a part of this community! Thanks to their generosity, and the support of those who attended, $800 will go to Unicef, The Summit Foundation, and Water for People. Thank you everyone!Julie Fishman, IBMYP coordinator; and SMS students
