Thanks to Breckenridge police

Roger and Teresa MoenBreckenridge

An open letter of thanks to the wonderful Breckenridge community: Our dog, Boomer, was at the groomer’s and got scared and escaped in the vicinity of the Breckenridge Police Department building. We called the police department and posted flyers at City Market, Loaf & Jug, and the Recreation Center. Twenty-four hours later, an off-duty policeman noticed our dog near the Police Department building, and remembered our report and flyers. After spending a cold night outdoors, Boomer was so spooked that the officer couldn’t get near him, but the officer called to let us know that our dog was still safe and alive. While scouring the area, another kind soul recognized Boomer from the poster in City Market and called us to give his whereabouts. Lastly, while we were closing in on Boomer, two employees of the Town of Breckenridge helped us out, and long story short, we have our dog back. Thank you, Breckenridge!
