Thanks to Copper for winter rec support

Anna SonesFrisco

I am a Frisco Elementary parent and wanted to thank Copper Mountain Resort for helping our school continue its winter recreation. As many know, at the beginning of the season, the winter activities program was in jeopardy. While our principal and others were scrambling for alternatives and solutions, our parents and students were heartbroken by the news. Finally we asked Copper Mountain for help, particularly with transportation and our skating activity. It took less than a week for Gary Rodgers to give the OK and the wheels were put in motion. I want to thank specifically the people whose names I heard during the planning: from Copper Mountain Resort – Peter, Kim, Kendra, and of course, Gary; from Chubs – Tina; and our principal, Steve Riggins.I wish all could see the excitement and buzz every Thursday morning as the students come to school with various equipment and huge smiles on their faces. After school is just as exciting as the students want to tell their parents of their adventures in great detail! So thank you, thank you to everyone who put our winter recreation back into our school program.
