Thanks to my Summit County friends

While working for my friend, I had an accident riding a horse on July 5. It caused multiple injuries to my body.Flight For Life took me to St. Anthony’s after the ambulance paramedics had taken measures to work on my collapsed lung, my hurt arm and the pain. Once there, the nurses, the doctors, my aunt, my mom and my friends continued to look after me and take care of my needs. People kept coming and decorating my room on the Intensive Care floor. I had broken vertebrae from C1-T1, a broken jaw, a brachial plexus injury that temporarily paralyzed my arm, a few broken ribs, a broken right scapula, a collapsed lung and a lacerated liver. Amid these severe injuries, I not only was so fortunate but I was also so blessed. During this time, my very good friends were taking care of my day-to-day business (bills, rent/no rent, mail, bank, credit card and car payments). Sometimes it takes a life-threatening episode to realize who we are and what we have and who we have around. These wonderful people held a benefit for us that I couldn’t miss, and didn’t (thanks to morphine again). Thanks to everyone who helped and participated in the benefit. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We are very rich indeed. And so blessed. We couldn’t list names; there would not be room. Thank you. Thank you all!Happy holidays!
