The Summit Foundation is in the middle of an unbelievable summer of events! If you are looking for a great way to meet people in the community, network and give back to the community through hands-on involvement, The Summit Foundation needs you!Take a look at the information below for the many fun volunteer opportunities that await you this summer!Mountain Art GatheringSet amid the picturesque Rocky Mountains at the Pavilion at Keystone in River Run, this weekend of quality art features the “Gatherers” and their guest artists assembled from around the country. Dates: July 27 -29 Times: Throughout the entire weekendLocation: Pavilion at Keystone in River RunVolunteer needs: Approx. 20 – Information Booth, Meet and Greeters20th Annual Rubber Duck Races It takes talent, speed and endurance but most importantly you have to be a yellow rubber duck to participate in this community fundraiser. On race day the Blue River will be dappled with over 10,000 little yellow ducks stretching from the Maggie Pond, by Main Street Station, to the Riverwalk Center in the heart of Breckenridge. The Rubber Duck Race consists of three races – a Kids Race, Corporate Race and a Peoples Race. The Great Duck Race is complete with fun family activities, live music and a BBQ.Date: September 1 Times (day of event): Starting at 9 a.m.- 6 p.m., two-hour duck shifts are availableMonth of August duck sellers are needed in Summit County: Monday- Saturday 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and 4 p.m. -6 p.m. Location: Breckenridge Riverwalk CenterVolunteer needs: Approx. 200 – Duck sellers Summit County Parade of Homes The Summit County Builders Association (SCBA) members provide the community with a gateway to the American Dream. They build homes people dream about, from entry level to fabulous estates, all in a beautiful mountain setting.
