The Summit Foundation seeks volunteers for Parade of Homes

The Summit Foundation is seeking volunteers for the annual Summit County Parade of Homes. The event takes place on Sept. 17-18, and Sept. 24-25. Portions of parade entry fees benefit The Summit Foundation. Volunteer shifts will be about two-and-a-half hours long and in exchange for your time, volunteers receive free entry on all four days. Volunteers will be responsible for handing out entry bracelets at parade homes to guests that have purchased tickets. Shifts are available at homes in Breckenridge, Frisco, Silverthorne and Dillon. Call Chris Runyon or Jennifer Stein at The Summit Foundation at (970) 453-5970, if you would like to sign up for a shift and see some fantastic homes.

Summit Daily is embarking on a multiyear project to digitize its archives going back to 1989 and make them available to the public in partnership with the Colorado Historic Newspapers Collection. The full project is expected to cost about $165,000. All donations made in 2023 will go directly toward this project.
