The Tiger Film Festival roars Thursday

Daily Staff Writer

The Tiger Film Festival, a first-time production of the Summit High School video production classes, will showcase a collection of short video projects. More than 50 students have contributed to the 30 videos that will be presented at the festival, which runs from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the Summit High School auditorium.

The festival is a chance for the community to see the films and projects that students have made throughout the course of the school year. Awards will be presented to the top four films – three awards by a panel of judges and one award by a vote of video students.

Summit Daily is embarking on a multiyear project to digitize its archives going back to 1989 and make them available to the public in partnership with the Colorado Historic Newspapers Collection. The full project is expected to cost about $165,000. All donations made in 2023 will go directly toward this project.

Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference.
