The Velascos give thanks

DAILY NEWS STAFF REPORT

Alex, Jessica, Andrew and I would like to express our gratitude to our friends and community for their heartfelt concern for us during our time of sorrow and hardship.

We appreciate the time and hard work that everyone put into the fundraiser at the Frisco Peninsula on Sept. 6. For us, it was overwhelming to see all the people who came to support us! It was more than we could have ever imagined.

We are blessed to live in such a caring community. Manny would have been so moved! We are grateful to everyone who has been so generous with their phone calls, letters and donations. Thank you to all those who donated to the silent auction and the memorial fund and also to all of the people who have donated anonymously to the Wells Fargo memorial fund. Words cannot express how thankful we are to everyone!

My words cannot begin to articulate my appreciation to each and everyone of you. I am truly blessed to have had Manny in my life as a husband, friend and tirelessly loving father. You are all a reflection of everything Manny was and will always be to me and our children.
