Third annual poker tourney for Children’s Hospital occurs Wednesday

BRECKENRIDGE – Marriott’s Mountain Valley Lodge presents the third annual Chip in for Children Texas Hold ’em Tournament on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Quandary Grille in Breckenridge.

This event over the past two years has raised nearly $10,000 for The Children’s Miracle Network. Every year, the network of hospitals treats 17 million children for the full spectrum of diseases and injuries. All proceeds from Wednesday’s ticket sales, silent auction and prize drawings will go directly to benefit The Children’s Hospital in Denver.

Doors open and silent-auction bidding begins at 6 p.m. with a pasta dinner donated by the Quandary Grille. The Hold’em tourney starts at 7, and a prize drawing will be held at 8.

Your $35 ticket purchase includes the option to play Hold’em, a complimentary pasta dinner, one free beer donated by Breckenridge Brewery, one prize drawing ticket and the opportunity to participate in the silent auction.

Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Marriot Mountain Valley Lodge, at (970) 453-8500, or on the day of the event at the Quandary Grille. Tournament prizes include a three-night Marriott Vacation Club stay plus Colorado Mountain Express transportation to and from Denver International Airport; two nights and three days at The Ritz Carlton Bachelor’s Gulch in Beaver Creek; and two nights and three days in Las Vegas (Donated by Jake’s Dive Bar).

Runner-up prizes include a $50 gift certificate to Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., a $35 gift certificate to Taipei Tokyo and a $25 gift certificate to Salt Creek. There will also be dozens of fabulous items included in Wednesday’s prize drawings and silent auction.
