This is not the Democrats’ war, Mr. Liddick

Jerry Bird Jr.Frisco

Once again, Mr. Liddick’s column ends with the jab somehow insinuating the Democrats are to blame for this fiasco in Iraq. This war, Mr Liddick, was concieved by, given birth to, initiated by, perpetuated by, mismanaged by and continues to be stonewalled by the wonderful men of the neo-con, Republican, Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Gonzalez, Wolfowitz and others, party of integrity-challenged, incompetents, the Republicans, your Republicans. While your articles are mostly spin, please refrain from thinking the American public and Summit Countians are going to buy that, “It’s the democrats fault.”Bush’s totally cowardly and irresponsible attempts at dragging this war out until a new administration can be blamed for quitting are a disgrace to the ideals and principles this country stands for. Nobody’s listening anymore, Mr. Liddick, nobody’s listening.P.S. Our son Rich has been taken out of combat in Diyala. He has all the symptoms of traumatic brain injury and is restricted to base. His unit no longer exists, he is in fair spirits and thanks, as we do, profusely the people of Summit County for their support and prayers. After nine concussions ,he needs to get home for proper therapy, and God willing, he will be soon.
