Three-bedroom duplex in Frisco

Charlotte Clarke

Frisco prides itself on being a quaint family town and many people seem to agree as sales have been brisk in the last couple years. It is also central to all that Summit County has to offer.Whether you enjoy fishing, hiking, biking or sailing, Frisco has it all. It recently received national recognition as a community that has preserved and augmented its heritage. Personally, I am always proud to point out the historical buildings and the lack of stoplights on Main Street.

Frisco Bay Townhomes are right on the edge of town by County Commons. They are among the few three bedroom residences that have garages and are reasonably priced. They were built in 1994/5 and feature a common hot tub and a brief walk to the National Forest. They also have two decks that overlook the lake across Hwy. 9 and each landing of the three floored homes has wonderful views of the Ten Mile Range.Because of the demand for lower priced housing, prices for these homes has risen sharply this year. But they are still a good buy when you look around. Unit 900A is a duplex located just steps from Miner’s Creek and near the hot tub. The 900 side of the complex has more guest parking and less congestion. You enter from 8th Ave. It contains about 1400 square feet and has two and a half baths. There is a washer/dryer, detached garage and two decks. Carpeting is beige Berber throughout and walls are cream. Throughout the unit there is light oak trim and brass plumbing fixtures which add a nice look.

These units have lots of storage. You enter on the middle level and hang coats in the first of many closets. Up a few stairs is the half bath and beyond is the kitchen. It is galley style with newer appliances, vinyl flooring and built in wine rack. A breakfast bar separates it from the dining area. The living room features a gas fireplace and lots of windows to let in natural light. Sliding glass doors lead to a deck overlooking the lake. There is a storage unit here as well. Hookups are provided for gas grills. The entire upstairs contains a master suite with a closet on the landing, an owners closet above that, and dual double closets for clothes as well as a linen closet. If this isn’t enough, there is an attic entry where more stuff can be stored! But the part of the master I like best is its own private deck. This is the absolute best place to look out on the 4th of July fireworks.

A full master bath features dual vanity and oak cabinets.Downstairs is a small front bedroom, a three-quarter bath with stack washer/dryer, and a larger bedroom in the rear. The Homeowners Association provides cable TV, water/sewer, snow and trash removal, outer upkeep, building insurance and management for $285 per month. Electric and gas average about $110 per month.

This home is partially furnished and listed at $307,900. The last two listed recently sold very quickly so hurry if you want a three bedroom in Frisco.
