Three Summit School District schools to celebrate renovations with ribbon-cutting ceremonies
Summit School District will celebrate the completion of major renovations, remodeling and expansion at three of its schools next week, with ribbon-cutting ceremonies at Dillon Valley Elementary, Breckenridge Elementary and Summit Cove Elementary.
The construction was part of the $70 million voter-approved ballot measure for upgrades, repairs and expansion at SSD schools. There was $7.3 million allotted to Dillon Valley Elementary for its new cafeteria and gym space, $3.7 million for Summit Cove Elementary and $2 million for Breckenridge Elementary.
The events will feature a brief ceremony with teachers, students and parents along with tours of the new spaces.
The DVE ribbon cutting will take place at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 3, the Breck elementary ribbon cutting at 8 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 5 followed by the SCE ribbon cutting at 9:45 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 3.
