Three Summit schools receive awards

The Colorado Department of Education recently announced the 153 school recipients of the Governor’s Distinguished Improvement Awards and the 151 John Irwin Schools of Excellence Awards – and Frisco Elementary, Summit Cove Elementary and Upper Blue Elementary were on the lists.

The Colorado Governor’s Distinguished Improvement Awards recognizes the top 8 percent of public schools that demonstrate the highest rates of student longitudinal growth, as measured by the Colorado Growth Model.

The John Irwin Schools of Excellence Awards recognizes the top 8 percent of public schools that demonstrate the highest achievement on statewide assessments.
